CVD laboratory-grown diamonds

CVD lab-grown diamond manufacturer in India

We grow CVD diamonds in our own reactors and cut them in our own workshop, so you buy from the grower, not a chain of traders.

How a CVD diamond grows

CVD (chemical vapour deposition) builds diamond one atomic layer at a time. Thin diamond seed plates sit inside a sealed reactor. A mix of hydrogen and a little methane flows in, and microwave energy turns it into a glowing plasma — the orange light our name comes from. Carbon atoms break free from the gas and settle on the seed, extending its crystal lattice.

Over several weeks the seed becomes a flat, tabular rough crystal. Our cutters then plan, saw, shape and polish it.

  1. Seed. Polished diamond plates are cleaned and loaded into the reactor.
  2. Grow. Microwave plasma deposits diamond on the seeds under tightly controlled temperature and gas flow.
  3. Inspect. Rough is checked for colour, strain and inclusions before planning.
  4. Cut and polish. Rough is planned for yield and make, then cut and polished in-house.
  5. Grade and ship. Stones are sorted, graded where ordered, and shipped.

As-grown and treated: always disclosed

Many CVD diamonds receive a post-growth treatment to improve colour. It is normal in the industry and does not make the diamond less real, but buyers and their customers have a right to know. We state which stones are as-grown and which are treated, and independent reports record it.

Questions buyers ask

What is the difference between CVD and HPHT diamonds?

Both make real diamond. CVD grows diamond from a carbon-rich plasma onto flat seed plates; HPHT grows it in molten metal under very high pressure and temperature. Polished stones from either method are graded on the same scales, and the grading report states which method was used.

Do you disclose post-growth treatment?

Yes. Some CVD diamonds are treated after growth to improve colour. We tell you which stones are as-grown and which are treated, and independent grading reports note it.

Which grading laboratories do you work with?

We can supply stones with reports from IGI, GIA or another laboratory you prefer, or as ungraded parcels for melee and calibrated goods. Tell us your requirement when you enquire.

Can you make matched pairs and calibrated parcels?

Yes. Tell us the shape, size tolerance and quantity, and we will quote from stock or plan a production run.
